How Do Fillers Work?
Fillers, also called injectables, work by filling in fine lines. They can be made of a variety of ingredients that work in different areas of the body. Injectables provide dermal support to smooth fine lines and add volume where it has been lost. Selecting the appropriate filler for the area of concern is important to achieve desired results. Fillers are often used in many locations such as the under eye area, cheeks, lips and chin. Soft tissue procedures rejuvenate the aging face and hands.
How Does Botox® Work?
Botox® is a type of neuromodulator used to minimize wrinkles by temporarily restricting facial muscles. Similar to other products, such as Dysport® and Xeomin®, Botox® is typically injected between the eyebrows, on frown lines, and on crow’s feet to smooth wrinkles. These areas make-up your facial expressions. Neuromodulators temporarily freeze the muscles, so as you frown or move your facial muscles, lines and wrinkles do not form.
How Long Do Fillers Last?
Fillers can last from 6-12 months depending on what product is selected and the location the filler is placed. Some factors, including the patient’s skin and injection site, can affect how long they last. Because there are many different types of filler.
