Rosannah Velasquez, MD

Dr. Velasquez is a Texas native, born and raised in the Rio Grande Valley. She completed her undergraduate training at the University of Texas-Pan American, where she graduated summa cum laude. Afterward, she received her medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston with a full academic scholarship as part of the UTPA/BCM Premedical Honors College.

She then completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. Subsequently, Dr. Velasquez returned to Houston to pursue training in anesthesiology at Baylor College of Medicine. In her final year of anesthesiology training, Dr. Velasquez changed her course to pursue her passion for dermatology. She successfully completed her residency in dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and returned to Houston to be closer to family.

Dr. Velasquez practices a combination of general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She enjoys educating patients so they feel engaged in the personalized treatment of their skin. When she is not seeing patients, Dr. Velasquez loves spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants, and baking. She is fluent in Spanish and hopes to provide approachable, relatable skincare to her Hispanic community
